Coheed and Cambria’s bassist Michael Todd charged for serious crime after robbing a Walgreens drug-store on Sunday (7/10). This was occured about six hours before the band’s going onstage at 7:30 PM.
Reported that Todd’s using his Blackberry cell-phone shows up a note on screen to the pharmacist containing words concludes that he had a bomb and wanted him to give the prescription pain-killers. Then, the pharmacist gave him six bottles of pain pills.
Todd allegedly left the store using a taxi to a tour bus parked alongside the Comcast Center. Then, police received a report from the taxi company where he was dropped off.
The following day, while the band has touring, Michael was indicted guilty in Attleboro District Court in case of armed robbery and drug possession charges. Michael was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail and will faces court decision on Aug 9th.
Michael Todd works with Coheed and Cambria from 1996 to 2006, and rejoined a year later. When the case occured, the band has been touring with Soundgarden. Regarding the issue, the band decide that their tour will goes on, while calling Wes Styles to replace him in the remaining show dates. ‘No shows will be canceled’, they stated.
