Foo Fighters: Big Wins at Grammys 2012

Long live rock ‘n roll.

These days, Grohl closing his statement by the words of spirit and hope. Most recent, when closing his winning speech at Grammys hours ago.

“To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of making music is what’s most important. Singing into a microphone, learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, that’s the most important thing for people to do. It’s not about being perfect. It’s not about sounding absolutely correct. It’s not about what goes on in a computer. It’s about what goes on in here (heart) and what goes on here (head)…. Long live rock ‘n’ roll!” – Dave Grohl while accepting Best Rock Performance trophy.

This year, bringing a big wins for the band, generally for rock flag, Foo Fighters leading Grammy with five wins of six nominations overall. The only one who got higher trophy was Adele, whose got six awards from all categories she’d been nominated.
Amazingly, Foo Fighters won all awards in rock field categories, and one award for Best Long Form Music Video, but loss Album of  The Year to Adele, which always the hardest award to receive by a rock band, competing all artist across all genres.
However, there’s no other rock bands won this year. Remembering that beginning this year’s Grammy, some nomination were merged or eliminated for all field categories (Rock, R&B, Rap, Pop, Country), become 78 awards overall (109 until 2011).
