A Grammy-award winning metallers, Deftones, has recently announce the seventh studio album, set for an autumn release. The record entitled ‘Koi No Yokan’ will be released on November 13, 2012 via Reprise Records. For the album, the band is working again with ‘Diamond Eyes’ producer Nick Raskulinecz.
“Koi no yokan” is Japanese for a feeling that is similar to (but not exactly the same as) love at first sight. It’s the sense a person gets upon meeting someone, where they just “know” they are going to fall in love. It implies that future love is inevitable.
Chino Moreno to Billboard about the new album.
It’s not a super fast or slow record. It’s very dynamic. Some of my favorite things about Deftones are the dynamics. Yes, we’re a heavy band, but we’re not just in-your-face aggro the whole time, punching you in the face….
