Bon Jovi Premiere ‘Because We Can’ Video

The new video for Bon Jovi has premiering today. The video is for the song ‘Because We Can’, the first single off their upcoming twelfth album, ‘What About Now’, coming March 26 via Island Records. The clip was first released via their app, where people can find out latest info from the band. [Download the app] The video was later released to Vevo in hours afterward.

The video shows a boxer figure who competing in the ring, and witnessed by his wife, while Bon Jovi – kind of ring announcer with hang down mic – singing for his passion to win. The video directed by Fisher Stevens, who recently work for his crime-comedy film Stand Up Guys, in which Jon Bon Jovi contribute a song ‘Not Running Anymore’. It was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

‘Because We Can’, has since entered top 5 in 24 countries and reached #1 position on iTunes chart in 12 countries. Review for the song was generally positive, called it far more better than ‘We Weren’t Born to Follow’. Richie Sambora characterized the new material as a compilation of “different elements”, yet reassured old fans that they will be just as pleased with the new work as they have been with the old for over 30 years.
