Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Dies At 49

Our metal family suffered by one more loss. After recently losing Chi Cheng, now it happened to another, one of the thrash/ speed metal band pioneer, Slayer. Jeff Hanneman, the guitarist dies at 49, after suffering liver failure near his home in Southern California’s Inland, in a Los Angeles hospital, at about 11 AM (local time) on Thursday (5/2).

Jeff Hanneman, known to be active in every Slayer album, both in musical and lyrical. However, not a long time since the release of their latest studio album in 2009, he was nearly inactive in the band, not in exception on tour. This is caused by illness that ultimately brought him to death.

Slayer is getting ready to release a new album this year, but with the passes of one of the founders of the band, we can’t find what will happen next. We’ll wait!

Our Brother Jeff Hanneman, May He Rest In Peace (1964 – 2013)
