‘Lightning Bolt’: Pearl Jam New Album Really Superun-owned

The second countdown clock reaches zero, and people are so righteous about what’s next.

Pearl Jam has officially announced their tenth studio album titled ‘Lightning Bolt’, along with the long-time rumored single ‘Mind Your Manners’ as its lead single. This will be their first since the #1 album ‘Backspacer’, back in 2009.

‘Lightning Bolt’ was produced by Brendan O’Brien, and will be released through Monkeywrench/Republic Records on October 14 (UK)/October 15 (US).

No tracklisting has been revealed yet, while ‘Mind Your Manners’ appears as the second track. There’s still unconfirmed if ‘Olé’ would also featured on the album.

About the album title itself, the frontman had been mulling on Soundgarden’s hit album ‘Superunknown’:

“I was thinking of the word ‘un-owned’ – not owned by anybody. The sky is un-owned. The moon is un-owned. We’re un-owned. We want to remain un-owned. The title was ‘Superun-owned.'” – Eddie Vedder.

So, after so many guesses, it was finally clear that: ‘who owns the lightning bolt?’ We can laugh oneself… ‘of course: nobody’. Great job, Eddie!

Stay tuned for future updates.
