My Picks: 10 Best Albums of 2020

Writer’s year-end note.

Hello everyone! This year is truly feels like only a day in my life. The Covid-19 pandemic has created devastation all around the globe, and the health crisis turned out to be a broader catastrophic and creates sudden and/or slow and steady changes to other sector like economy and business, social, culture, and probably the hardest-hit one: travel. Personally I think, though my business got affected too, but slowly but likely the atmosphere this pandemic creates (particularly the lockdowns) somewhat favors me: cleaner sky, more sleep, less noise, less outside routine with more time to do things at home that I don’t do normally (like washing, cooking, TV amongst other).

How about music business? Yes, the pandemic also bring in changes. The hardest-hit one is concerts. When this is going back to normal? Nobody knows the date for sure. Some says summer next year, some say in 2022. But one interesting change to notice here that as musicians was put on lockdown like most of people in the world, mostly back in the early months when the virus first struck, they start creating songs, and more songs. There are probably more fast-recorded songs and albums this year than any other year before which resulted in more surprise releases, although there are some delayed releases for some reasons too. So talking about album releases, there are plenty to catch out. So below, I made a short list of my favorite rock albums this year, just check it out!

One more thing, thank you for reading our blog, and let’s hope for a better year in 2021. Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!!

Most Anticipated Albums of 2019

Here are my personal picks for most anticipated studio album release next year.

10) System of a Down (Q2 2019): After years of waiting there is so much hope that they are finally get the record done next year.

9) The Offspring (Q2 2019): There is a signal that double album is coming. Who knows?

8) Dream Theater (Feb 2019): The first song is available and one thing for sure, it’s still sounds like Dream Theater, so the full album needs to be checked out.

7) Pearl Jam (Q2 2019): The politically-charged song released this year hopefully not influencing the whole album next year. We need songs written and sounding with pure emotion, not blind rage.

6) AC/DC (Q3 2019): We need to hear from Brian and Angus again for some time, so the next album is a must have. Axl/DC could be an alternate option, though.

5) Megadeth (Q3 2019): The last album is pretty good, so we hope they’ll bring something great again for next year.

4) Deftones (Q2 2019): They said they are working on the next record, so we hope to get to hear them again soon.

3) Rammstein (Q1 2019): Production for the album seemed halfway done. So interesting to hear their new sound after a decade.

2) Slipknot (Q2 2019): If ‘All Out Life’, indicating the sound of the record, that would be pretty awesome, back to their heavier, older stuff.

1) Tool (Q2 2019): Yes, even a tiny updates on the new album made us mad. In late months, the talks about album recording seemed to be true, so new album is expected to drop finally next year!!

So, what are your list?
